Party makeup for blue eyes

It's my beautiful friend Jasmine's birthday next week, and in preparation for her birthday party she asked if we could put my extensive makeup collection to use and play around with some different looks. The final look she decided on for her party was a sparkly orange-glam look, which is perfect for making blue eyes pop and adding shine to party makeup. Happy birthday Jazzy, thanks for being my canvas! (Not all products in this look are vegan, some products were bought prior to adopting a cruelty free lifestyle, however I will be providing cruelty free alternatives!)

I began by prepping the skin using MAC prep+prime in the coconut flavour, before applying Jasmine's favourite foundation, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation in the shade 03. We then contoured using Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the shade 01, and Too Faced Matte Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. We used a combination of highlighters, the first being BECCA, Champagne Pop, and the second being MAC soft and gentle (my favourite.) Jasmine has a naturally more red undertone to her skin, so a foundation with yellow undertones like this one is perfect for her.

We then added a light wash of Lime Crime's Diamond Dew in the shade Lustre to the eyes. This shade was perfect for Jasmine as it has a rust base colour with chunky orange glitters within it. It does however take some building in order to make the colour opaque, so it's usually best to use it directly from the wand instead of taking it on a brush.

Next, I used Lime Crime's Plushie palette in the quad named Freshly Squeezed. I applied a soft layer of the shade Mango into the crease of the eye, before building this into a deeper orange with the shade Orange juice. While this palette is incredible for pigmentation and colour pay off, there's often a lot of kickback from the pan. Personally, I don't mind palettes with kickback issues, but if you're someone who does, it may be worth baring this in mind.

In the inner corner of the eye I used the shade Jackfruit, a pale yellow with a slight shimmer. I also added a little more glitter using more Diamond Dew, this time in the shade Confetti. Accenting the inner corner is especially important with a more dramatic makeup look as it lifts the overall appearance of the eyes and draws attention to the whole of the eye, rather than just the lid area.

To finish the look off, we popped on a pair of false eyelashes; the LMX collection for Superdrug in the style Jesy, and set the face with MAC Fix+ setting spray!

The final look is super glowy and luminous, and makes Jaz's eyes look amazing!

Happy Birthday to you my wonderful friend, and I hope this makeup look adds even more glamour to your party night :)
